Stratford topped Cane Bay 7-6 on Monday night in game one of a three game set after taking the lead late in the game. Stratford was down 6-4 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Lucas Kline homered to left field, on a 3-2 count with two outs, giving the Knights a 7-6 lead.

Stratford rallied for the victory despite trailing 6-1 in the fourth.

Cane Bay got on the board in the first with a lead off solo home run to center field to start the game.

A Jameson Lee ground out, would tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Cane Bay retook the lead in the second inning setting up the late inning dramatic finish for the Knights.

Dom Longello earned the win for Stratford. The righty allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking one in relief. Brandon Cruz tossed one inning of no-run ball for Stratford in relief of starter Jameson Lee.

Stratford piled up 10 hits in the game. Kline drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Knights with the three run shot to left center. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Longello, Lee, and Kline each collected two hits for Stratford.

Stratford will travel to Cane Bay for the second game of the series on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
