The Varsity Baseball team has advanced to the Hatfield Division Semifinal and will take on Providence High School out of North Carolina. The Knights defeated Ardrey Kell 15-10 in a game that saw Stratford trail by 8 in the sixth inning. Stratford would score 10 runs in the top of the sixth and would rally again in the seventh to win. In game two, the Knights jumped out early over Bishop England 4-0. The Battling Bishops came back to take the lead 7-5. Stratford would score seven runs in the top of the sixth the take the lead for good, winning 12-7.

Stratford vs Ardrey Kell

Dom Longello drove in four runs on two hits to lead Stratford past Ardrey Kell 15-10 on Monday. Longello doubled in the sixth inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the seventh inning, scoring two.

Stratford collected eight hits and Ardrey Kell had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

The Knights flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring 10 runs on four hits to take the lead, 10-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Lucas Kline that drove in two. Ardrey Kell would tie things up in the bottom of the sixth.

Stratford reclaimed the lead in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 15-10. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Longello on an 0-2 count that drove in two.

Brandon Cruz earned the win for Stratford. The lefty gave up two hits and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings. Jameson Lee began the game for Stratford. The righty surrendered six hits and seven runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking none. Brayden Abels appeared in relief for Stratford.

Longello, Tyler Majewski, and Kline each collected two hits for Stratford. Skinner led Stratford with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 12 walks for the game.

Stratford vs Bishop England

Dom Longello collected three hits in four at bats, as Stratford defeated Bishop England V 12-7 on Tuesday in game two of the H.I.T.. Longello singled in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Stratford got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jarrett Wagner walked, and Lucas Kline singled to left field, each scoring one run.

The Knights added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Longello singled to left field, and Wagner walked a second time, each scoring one run.

Bishop England took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Stratford battled back in the top of the sixth, scoring seven runs on four hits to take the lead, 12-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Tyler Majewski that drove in two.

Walt Hudson earned the win for Stratford. The reliever allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Styrker Gehlken stepped on the mound first for Stratford. The pitcher surrendered four hits and four runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Ben DeFriece threw two innings of no-run ball for Stratford in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking one.

Stratford tallied 11 hits in the game. Wagner, Majewski, and Kline each drove in two runs for the Knights. Kaiden Skinner collected two hits for Stratford in four at bats. The Knights had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 11 walks for the game. Wagner and Caleb Lott led the team with three walks each. Longello and Skinner each stole multiple bases for Stratford. The Knights stole nine bases in the game.
