The Varsity baseball team evened the series up with Lucy Beckham, defeating the Bengals 4-3 on Wednesday night.

Clarke Stradcutter, Mason Warne, and Garrett Dresel combined for four of the team's seven hits in the victory. They scored two runs and drove in one.

A ground out by Jameson Lee put Stratford on the board in the bottom of the first, driving in Dom Longello who had doubled to start the game.

The Knights added two runs in the second. Longello singled to left field driving in Straductter and Warne, making the score 3-0.

Stratford would add one run in the third. Warne singled down the left field line, scoring Jameson Lee, making the score 4-0.

Stryker Gehlken earned the win for Stratford. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out one. Longello collected the save. Brandon Cruz appeared in relief for Stratford.

Longello went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.

Stratford will travel to Lucy Beckham for the rubber game, of this crucial early series, on Friday.
