Our first Loggerhead Leader of the Day returning from Spring Break comes from Kindergarten—Ms. Mary Cappetta! Mary leads each day with kindness and a helping hand. She truly embodies what it means to be a great friend and a dedicated student. We are so proud of the positive example she sets for others!

7th Grade Scientists are investigating renewable energy with Mrs. Thill. They are working with the oldest form of fuel, plants. Biofuels are created by burning the biomass, or parts of the plants or trees left over after they have been cut and dried. The investigation: use your data to determine which plant would provide the most energy if burned!

April is school library month! Mrs. Neiderhiser's class enjoyed their library time today with a class storytime, book checkout, and spring themed scavenger hunt. We missed our Loggerhead readers and were so happy to have them back in the library today!

Thank you to our amazing Sunshine Squad for putting together the sweetest “Dippin’ Out for Spring Break” spread during our Professional Development Day!

We wanted 6th-8th Grade Field Day to be more than just competition—we wanted connection. Much appreciation to Ms. Ellis for leading the creation of our incredible Buddy Benches, soon to be featured in our school garden!
Students jumped in, picked up a paintbrush, and quite literally left their mark on something meaningful. These benches will be a place to gather, connect, and remind our students and staff that no one stands alone at CLS.
