Huge congratulations to Mah'ky G. for being named Offensive Combo MVP at the South Carolina Coaches Combine held at Woodland High School! 🏈 This honor has earned him an invitation to the invite-only combine in May.

On Friday, March 20, Jamarion and Xavier proudly represented Cross High School at the ArcLabs Welding Competition, where they showcased their talent, dedication, and technical skills. While they did not take home the top prize, both students earned an impressive $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their skills and effort.
This experience offered valuable hands-on learning and professional growth, highlighting the strength of our welding program. Most importantly, they had a fantastic time competing and expanding their expertise.

What a slam dunk of an event at Cross High School! Our March Madness showdown brought the heat with epic basketball tournaments for middle and high schoolers, a nail-biting free throw competition, and a crowd-pleasing three-point contest. 🔥🏀

The grand finale? Staff vs. Students – and yes, the staff kept their undefeated streak alive with a gritty 14-10 win! (Students, we’ll get ’em next year… maybe 😏)

Huge shoutout to our amazing MTSS team, Communities in Schools, and Student Council for teaming up to make it happen. All proceeds are supporting the Berkeley County School District’s “Take the Lead” program and raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House – turning fun into real impact for families who need it most. ❤️

Everyone from students to staff had an absolute blast, and the energy boosted our school spirit to new heights! Special thanks to Principal Brown for the full support, and to all the teachers and staff who planned, cheered, played, and donated – you made it unforgettable.

Game Update

BETA members toured Coastal Carolina University just ahead of National Beta Week, gaining valuable exposure to campus resources, student life, and academic possibilities.

Ready, set, play — softball season has arrived!

The Berkeley County Public Library bookmobile will be on campus every other Thursday beginning March 5. Students with existing library cards can check out materials directly; minors (under 18) will need a parent present to register for new cards. Please see their schedule below.

The Sports Medicine III students recently visited Charleston Southern University for an engaging and informative field experience. During their visit, they gained insight into the Athletic Training Program and explored opportunities within the Kinesiology and Public Health programs. The trip provided valuable exposure to collegiate academics and career pathways in sports medicine and health sciences, further inspiring their future goals.

Mark your calendars! Prom season kicks off at Dillard’s on March 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Join them for cosmetic demonstrations, a photo station, music, men's suit fittings, and the chance to book personal prom-night appointments. Students who purchase any regular-price junior social-occasion dress of $109 or more will receive a Prom Must-Have Essentials Swag Bag.

Huge congratulations to every wrestler who competed at the 2026 A/AA Lower State Wrestling Qualifier at Whale Branch High School on February 14! A special congratulations to Elijaquan S. for placing 2nd and earning a spot at the State Tournament at the Florence Civic Center on February 20–21. Wrestling begins around 10:00 AM both days. Please come out and support Elijaquan as he chases a state title!

Big playoff night this Monday! 🏀 Both teams are headed to play @ Denmark-Olar.
